~Property Basics~
What amenities do you have? We have a large wraparound porch with an Austin stone fireplace, a swimming pool, hot-tub and a Spa with massages, facials, manicures and pedicures.
What Activities do you have? LOTS! Archery, Airboat Rides, Biking, Canoeing, Hiking, Hayrides, Horseback Riding, Upland Bird Hunting, Pistol Shooting, Sporting Clays...just to name a few!
~Location and Set-up~
Can you use different locations for the Wedding & Reception? Yes…of course you can!
What days of the week do you offer discounted rates? Sunday-Thursday
In case of bad weather…do you have an indoor location as a backup plan? Is there an added cost to reserve back up space? This depends on your wedding package, but additional space can be booked for an additional fee. Tents can also be rented for an additional cost.
Equipment…do you have…speakers, microphone, projectors and electrical power and outlets for DJ/Band? We have all the basic equipment, but if you have a band or DJ, we recommend you use their equipment for the best possible sound.
Do you have coat racks for a winter wedding? No, but these can be rented for an additional fee.
Do you have a dance floor? No, but our floors are great for dancing.
When can we begin our setup? Generally, we would allow this at check in time, which is 3pm.
Will there be another group or another event occurring at the same time? It depends; we offer an exclusive for weddings with 20 or more overnight rooms.
Can we have our band and DJ outside? Is there any type of music that can’t be played? What time do we need to call it quits? Most brides prefer to have their music and friends outside…especially on a beautiful evening in the country. We ask that you wouldn’t play any music that would be offensive to your mother, grandmother or guests. If you want to go past midnight, there is an additional charge for staffing.
Do you care how or where we hang our decorations? Please no decorating our animal mounts, and we ask that nothing is attached to the walls inside the lodge. There is an additional cleanup fee for any decorations left behind.
Are candles allowed? Yes! We love candles, but we ask that they are put in a glass container, and that our staff is aware of them…so they can blow them out at the end of the evening.
~Rate and Refunds~
Is there a ceremony or room rental fee for the ceremony? Yes. The amount depends upon the package and location that you select for the wedding and the reception.
Will I need to put a deposit down and is it refundable? A 50% deposit is required and it is non-refundable unless cancelled 6 months prior to the event date.
Who does the set-up and clean-up? Is there a set-up fee? Cleaning fee? If booking one of our wedding packages, normal cleanup and basic set up is included. Any major furniture moving or major cleaning will require an addition fee. Any damage to property will be billed at cost.
~Food and Beverage~
Do you have on site catering? Yes, we have a fabulous chef and an incredible staff.
Can we have hors d’oeuvres passed at the reception? Absolutely!
What kind of meal service do you provide? Most people do a buffet, which works much better for larger groups. We can do a sit down plated dinner for an additional charge of $10 per person.
Can we bring in your own wedding cake? Yes, our kitchen does not prepare wedding cakes, but we can make some great recommendations.
Is there a cake cutting fee? Yes, it depends on your group size.
Is there a corkage fee for wine or champagne? Nope.
Do you have a bar and bartenders? Beer and wine is included in your package price. We can also set up a full bar with bartenders for an additional fee.
Do you have something for children and minors to drink during toasts? Yes, we have plenty of lemonade, and sparkling apple cider.
