WB is located on the Brazos River, between Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and Austin on the northern fringe of the Texas Hill Country and 30 minutes from Crawford TX "Home of George Bush"
WB has hosted Corporate Retreats for "L.L. Bean," "e-Flowers.com," "MPI Board Retreat," and many others. Our state-of-the-art Conference Room includes a Sony LCD projector, ergonomically designed leather chairs, wireless Internet connection (512Kbps-1 Mg - Computer must be Ethernet ready) and many other components to compliment a dynamic presentation for your retreat.
The Lodge can accommodate up to 77 people at double-occupancy, with 27 single rooms and 60 beds. Extra rooms are available at an off-site location. Spa Services, Massage, Pedicures and Manicures are available by appointment.
WB offers a very affordable Complete Meeting Package (CMP) rate to the corporate guest. WB’s double occupancy rate is $225 per person. The single rate is $275. WB also offers a Multi Rate for groups 35 guest plus.
This rate includes overnight accommodations, breakfast, lunch, gourmet dinner, continuous beverage service, a conference coordinator and a conference room. Complimentary Keg Beer is offered as well as Texas Wine for your retreat.
WB offers a Free ranch tour for group of 20 or more for 2008, use of trail bikes, a swimming pool and jacuzzi, billiard tables, ping-pong and many other amenities for your retreat.
In addition, WB Ranch offers many challenging Team Building retreat activities. The “Topographical Map Course” or the “WB Triathlon” will challenge any corporate client. The “Culinary Challenge” or “Sporting Clays” will keep guests coming back for more. WB also provides airboat rides, Airboat Fishing on the Brazos River, and bass and striper fishing on beautiful Lake Whitney. "Golf Outings" are available at a nearby Championship Course. The two 18-hole courses are exceptionally beautiful and challenging.
Our General Manager, Evelyn Cooper was born and raised in Hamilton, Texas. It was there she learned the arts of hunting and fishing. Later she would attend Tarleton State University. She would graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Administrative Systems with a minor in Computer Information Systems.
She then continued her education and received her M.B.A.
Cooper was inducted to the “ Delta Mu Delta” National Honor Society of Business Administration.
Cooper has worked at hunting preserves/executive retreats most of her career and has been involved and enjoyed the industry all her life. As General Manager of the WB Ranch, where she has been since it was being built and opened, Cooper oversees all of the ranch’s activities; from executive retreats to bird hunts to sporting clays tournaments.
Cooper continues to further her education and expertise through memberships and training. Among her accomplishments and memberships are:
